2 Chronicles 33 & 34

Psalms 75 & 76

 

Manasseh committed greater sins than the kings before him but he repented. God accepted his confession and forgave him. There is hope for us. As bad as we can be, if we truly repent, God will forgive us. We found it strange how the book of the law was found. Was there no one looking for it all of these years? But now the people had something tangible to use. Today, we have the bible. Thank you God!

 

God alone judges people. He corrects and punishes in His time. We need to trust God that in His time will correct and punish evil. No matter what goes on in the world, God uses all to His glory. Who are we to judge?

    It was so refreshing to read of a king that repented. It is hard for anyone to admit to being wrong, but I think it is even harder for people who are in the public eye. Sometimes it seems we'd rather lose our souls than our public image.
